There is no BUONGIORNO without a MOKA Coffee!
Traveling means learning, and while traveling to Italy the main thing your should probably learn about is the MOKA coffee POT.
Every morning the best things I can think of when I open my eyes, is the perfum of Coffee spread by my Moka pot. You can find at least one in any household, most likely a few, of different sizes.
It’s interesting to know that Mr Bialetti invented it in 1933, it brews coffee by passing boiling water pressurized by steam through ground coffee, and it is named after the Yemenite city of Mocha.
Since then no-one here could live without one!
However it is sad enough that since Nespresso invaded the market with it’s automatic machines with those horrible coffee caps, made with leftovers of Coffee powder production, the factory is struggling and the production is collapsing.
Hence, even if I love George Clooney, I will never forgive him for making Nespresso iconic!
So, you Italy-lovers, the best souvenir you can buy, it’s a Bialetti Moka Pot, don’t forget!
